Crook Hall and Garden
Within walking distance of Durham’s bustling market square, Crook Hall and Gardens is an oasis of peace and tranquillity.
Crook Hall is a beautiful medieval mansion with pretty gardens, famous for its white lady. It is surrounded by ten romantic garden rooms, each with its style and atmosphere.
The secret, walled gardens that Alan Titchmarsh calls a “tapestry of colourful flowers” are laid back and lush. By contrast, the Shakespeare Garden is overflowing with fragrant Elizabethan plants, and a Moat is a place where you can sit and think while watching the fish and blue damselflies.
